New Balance Mile of Saucon Valley will raise money for Lehigh Valley chapter of Autism Society of America

Jamie Gottschall wanted to give back.

So the Lehigh County woman is combining two of her passions — advocacy for autism and running the mile — in organizing the New Balance Mile of Saucon Valley.

The race and full morning of activities is set for Sunday, Oct. 7, at Upper Saucon Community Park, 3231 Preston Lane.

Gottschall and co-director John Bolesta said they hope to corral 150 to 300 runners and raise $10,000 for the Autism Society of America’s Lehigh Valley chapter.
